ABOUT

I am a 36-year-old female at the beginning of my writing career. I am of Turkish Kurdish descent and was raised as a first-generation refugee in London.

I have, over the years, written sporadically and more for pleasure than a career. 

​

After a 12-year teaching career and after running businesses over a vast number of years alongside teaching, I wanted to write. 

​

I currently live with my partner in North London.

 

My interest in studying and observing other cultures comes from my love for anthropology. I studied anthropology and sociology at Brunel University and took a particular interest in ethnographical studies based around Religion, Education and Sex, 

​

Today, I like to write both fictional and non-fictional pieces about relationships, human interest stories, and articles on personal development.

For more cooperative work, I have successfully written and published content for websites, email marketing campaigns, product descriptions, and marketing material. 

​

I am currently writing my first novel. A story based on love and friendship based in 1980s Istanbul.
